A day before Wisconsin takes on Minnesota in the battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe, Wisconsin’s quarterback situation is still up in the air.

Friday, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel tweeted out the injury report for the Badgers. Quarterback Alex Hornibrook, who has been in concussion protocol and has suffered a head injury, is listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup.

Hornibrook has not played in the last two games for the Badgers and has missed three of the last four. Sophomore Jack Coan has taken over under center.

This season, Hornibrook has appeared in eight games, throwing for 1,343 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He’s completed 58.1 percent of his passes.

Coan has appeared in the last four games for Wisconsin and has played fairly well. He’s thrown for 442 yards and four touchdowns with just two interceptions in that stretch. Coan is coming off his best outing of the season, throwing for 160 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime victory over Purdue.

Wisconsin hosts Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Camp Randall Stadium.
