Wisconsin added some talent to its offense Thursday as it picked up a commit from C.J. Williams, a transfer wide receiver from USC.

Williams was a 4-star composite coming into college according to 247Sports Composite. He was the No. 73 player nationally, the No. 10 wide receiver and the No. 4 player in California. He garnished offers from Notre Dame and UCLA, but ultimately went with the Trojans.

As a freshman, Williams saw the field in just 3 games, recording 34 yards on 4 receptions.

Williams now joins a Wisconsin program that is looking to return to national prominence under new head coach Luke Fickell, who was hired in December from Cincinnati. Fickell led the Bearcats to a College Football Playoff berth and now he is looking to do the same with Wisconsin.

He definitely has some rebuilding to do after Wisconsin’s 7-6 season where the Badgers lost Paul Chryst, but a commitment from Williams will certainly help the Badgers.
