Wisconsin sees QB head for portal after 2 seasons in Madison
Wisconsin lost a quarterback to the transfer portal on Wednesday in Myles Burkett.
Burkett didn’t see the field this season for Wisconsin with Tanner Mordecai and Braedyn Locke taking the majority of the snaps under center. Burkett played in 2 games last season with Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin QB was grateful for the last 2 seasons in Madison, but noted that it was time to move on.
“It has been a true blessing to be a part of such a special group these past 2 years. Thank you to Coach Chryst, Coach Fickell, and Coach Longo for allowing for to be myself and for shaping me into the man and player I am today,” said Burkett. “With that being said, it is time for me to take on a new challenge, and I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility.”

The Badgers don’t have any quarterbacks coming into the program in the 2024 class just yet. Burkett was a former 3-star commit for Chryst’s 2022 class out of Franklin (Wis.) High.
Luke Fickell coached Wisconsin to a 7-5 record in the first regular season of his tenure in Madison. The Badgers finished the 2023 campaign with 1 more win than they did at this point last year.
Burkett stuck around after the firing of Chryst, but couldn’t find playing time in the QB room.
