On the receiving end of junior quarterback Jack Coan’s toss, Ferguson’s touchdown came on 3rd & 10 on the opening drive of the game.
Fresh off a 38-0 dismantling of Michigan State (4-3) on October 12, Wisconsin (6-0) has established themselves as the B1G West’s best team at the season’s halfway point.
Illinois (2-4) opened its season with back-to-back wins, but is trying to snap a four-game losing streak. Staring at an uphill battle, the Illini will at least be buoyed by the return of redshirt junior quarterback Brandon Peters from a concussion.
Now in the second quarter, Wisconsin at Illinois is airing on BTN.
