It was a scary moment in the No. 9 Iowa at Wisconsin game as Badgers redshirt sophomore tight end Clay Cundiff was immediately in pain after a play in the third quarter.

In the final play of the third quarter, Wisconsin ran a run play looking to extend their 20-7 lead over Iowa when Cundiff suffered a gruesome injury on his right leg.

His teammates were immediately concerned for Cundiff as they knew was happening. An ambulance was called quickly as he was transported in to be taken to the hospital. Cundiff gave a very responsive thumbs up to his teammates, coaches, and the Wisconsin crowd.

His status for the year is very much doubted with the injury to his right leg.

Cundiff has caught 3 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown, with that score coming in the 38-17 home loss to No. 14 Michigan on October 2. Cundiff has been utilized in the run-blocking schemes for Wisconsin’s offense.
