Wisconsin has booked a trip to the ReliaQuest Bowl as it will take on the SEC’s LSU Tigers on New Year’s Day in Tampa.

Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is set for Jan. 1 at noon ET on ESPN.

The Tigers were 10-4 in Brian Kelly’s 1st season and lost to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game before blowing out Purdue 63-7 in last year’s Citrus Bowl. In 2023, they went 9-3 with losses to Florida State, Ole Miss, and Alabama. They are in a bowl for the 3rd straight year after a self-imposed bowl ban in 2020.

Meanwhile, the Badgers are bowling for the 22nd straight year, the 3rd-longest active streak in the country. They have won their last 3 bowls: the 2020 Duke’s Mayo Bowl, the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl, and the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bowl.

All-time, Wisconsin has dropped 3 of the 4 previous meetings between the 2 teams. The Tigers defeated the Badgers in 1971 and 1972 and took a 28-24 contest in 2014 in Houston. Two years later, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, the Badgers won 16-14.
