A Wisconsin wide receiver announced that he’ll be going into the transfer portal on Sunday. Markus Allen is heading for the door after the loss to Michigan State.

Wisconsin lost to Michigan State in double overtime in Week 7. The 34-28 loss was the first of Jim Leonhard’s tenure in Madison.

Allen played in four games for the Badgers this season. He compiled 4 receptions for 91 yards receiving with 1 touchdown in those games. He has three years of eligibility left.

Allen had a message for Badgers fans following his decision:

First want to thank everyone in the Wisconsin Football program tor everything they’ve done up to this point. Truly love the bonds I’ve made with great people and the memories, with brothers. Thank you Coach Chryst and the coaching staff. With that being said, I would like to announce that I have officially have entered the NCAA transfer portal.

He was a 3-star recruit from the 2021 class per the 247Sports Composite, and committed to Wisconsin over Michigan, Air Force, Army, and Akron.
