A Wisconsin wide receiver has rejoined the team after serving a two-game suspension handed down by head coach Paul Chryst.

Danny Davis, who had been suspended for two games in the preseason because of his involvement in a sexual assault accusation that involves fellow wideout Quintez Cephus. Davis was mentioned in the report but was not charged.

Cephus was charged with second- and third-degree sexual assault. He was also suspended by the team but has not been reinstated.

Davis returns for Wisconsin’s matchup against BYU on Saturday.

Last year, Davis caught 26 passes for the Badgers, totaling 418 yards and five touchdowns as the team finished 13-1.

Wisconsin’s receivers have been fine so far without their two leading pass catchers from last season. A.J. Taylor currently leads the league with 219 yards on 10 catches this year. He’s also caught one touchdown pass.
