Just looking at the score Wisconsin 28, Michigan 0, is striking enough. But then, you start looking at the context surrounding surrounding the first half of that game, and it’s stunning.

By trailing 28-0, the Wolverines are currently going up against the largest halftime deficit a Michigan team has had at The Big House since the stadium opened in 1927.

Whoa. Just whoa. That’s incredible. I’m not sure if it’s more of a testament to how well the Badgers are playing after a two-week layoff or an indictment of how bad things have gotten in Ann Arbor under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

A year ago, Michigan got just ran over by Wisconsin as the Badgers cruised to a 35-14 win at Camp Randall in Madison.

While that loss looked bad for the Wolverines, this just feels one million times worse. Michigan just looks incompetent. That can be explained by the fact the Wolverines had more turnovers (2) in the first quarter than offensive yards (1).

Michigan fans just have to be pleading to have one positive historic stat come through this season. Thus far, all the record-breaking activity for the Wolverines has been negative.
