The Wisconsin Badgers opened the 2022 season against Illinois State Saturday night.

With just over 2 minutes left in the first quarter, the game remained scoreless. However, that changed in a matter of minutes.

Illinois State nearly drove the length of the field. On 3rd and 7 from the 10-yard line, the Redbirds quarterback made a terrible decision throwing into quadruple coverage in the middle of the field. John Torchio came away with the interception to make it a 100-yard pick-6 for Wisconsin.

How’s that for the first touchdown of the season? That’s quite impressive.
