Wisconsin's future game against ACC team could be moved to Ireland, per report
The Wisconsin Badgers may soon have the chance to play an ACC foe in an overseas game. According to Pittsburgh Sports Now, the 2027 game between Wisconsin and Pittsburgh may be moved to Ireland.
The teams are slated to play a home-and-home, with the Badgers hosting in 2026 and the Panthers hosting in 2027. However, it appears likely the 2027 game will be moved to Ireland as school administrators plan out the ’26, ’27, and ’28 schedules. The Pitt-Wisconsin home-and-home series was scheduled way back in 2018.
This change would affect the Panthers more, as the Badgers would not be losing a home game. Neither the Panthers nor the Badgers have played in Ireland yet, so it would be a neat experience for the players and fans.
The Badgers have a few interesting future non-conference opponents. In 2024 and 2025 the team will play a home-and-home with Alabama. In 2026, the team has home games against Pitt and Notre Dame, and in 2027 the team has the potential Ireland game.
As for the 2023 Badgers, the team will next play host to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
