While other leagues may have their men’s basketball conference schedules in order, there is still plenty left to figure out when it comes to the Big Ten.

The conference has yet to release its schedule for the 2020-21 season. That leaves Big Ten men’s basketball coaches left to answer to what’s going on schedule-wise. Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard had the unenviable task of discussing scheduling on Wednesday.

The questioning began with how many games the Badgers will get to play in this uncertain season.

Based on how things have gone with football, the Big Ten is likely going to have to deal with cancellations and changes surrounding the basketball season, too. It appears that coaches in the conference, including Gard, have begun finding alternatives if opponents start to cancel.

As has been pretty clear since the start of the return of college sports, this was all going to be up in the air and constantly changing. It appears that’s the case with Gard’s team and the rest of the conference.

Buckle up, folks. This year’s Big Ten basketball slate will likely be one full of cancellations, outbreaks, and more.
