Earlier this week, it was reported that Florida State was eyeing Wisconsin’s Jim Leonhard to be the Seminoles new defensive coordinator. However, according to FootballScoop.com, Leonhard is staying in Madison.

In Leonhard’s first season as the Badgers’ defensive coordinator, the defense was among the best in the nation. This season, Wisconsin ranked No. 1 in total defense (253.2 yards allowed per game), No. 2 in rushing defense (92.6 yards allowed per game), No. 3 in scoring defense (13.2 points allowed per game) and No. 4 in passing defense (160.6 yards allowed per game).

Before taking over the Badgers’ defense, Leonhard was their secondary coach.
