Minnesota announces limited number of seats available for season-opener vs. Ohio State

Earlier this week, Minnesota announced it had a “significant number” of tickets for its season opener against Ohio State on Sept. 2.
What difference a few days makes, right?
Wednesday afternoon, the Golden Gophers announced they have less than 500 tickets left for Thursday night’s game at TCF Bank Stadium.
Less than 500 tickets remain, #Gophers! You don't want to miss this one. https://t.co/U6bZHcZPxt

The No. 4-ranked Buckeyes are coming off their fourth straight B1G title and have won the last 10 matchups against Minnesota. They haven’t faced each other since 2018, a 30-14 Ohio State victory.
In fact, Minnesota hasn’t beaten Ohio State since 2000 when Glen Mason was the Golden Gophers’ coach. Sure enough, Mason went on KFAN 100.3 in Minneapolis and made a bold prediction for the game this week. He thinks Minnesota can pull off the upset and send Ohio State home with a season-opening loss.
We’ll see if he’s right when Ohio State and Minnesota square off in a Thursday night matchup on Sept. 2 on FOX.
