It was far from a mistake-free first half for Nebraska, but the Huskers rolled into halftime with a 14-0 lead.

That lead is thanks  in large part to the play of quarterback Adrian Martinez. He set up Nebraska’s first score with a huge run, and he connected with Samori Toure for another long play with the half winding down.

Inside 1 minute to play before the break, Martinez hit Toure coming across the middle of the field. He was behind the defense and gone in a flash with the Buffalo defense losing track.

It went for 68 yards and the 2-possession lead:

While the lead is good, Nebraska left multiple scores on the field in the first half. A missed field goal and a couple of scores called back due to penalty have plagued the offense. Hopefully, those missed opportunities do not loom in the second half.
