Ohio State men’s basketball recently added another game to its schedule, and will play IUPUI on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. ET. This comes after the Buckeyes had to cancel 2 games due to Covid-19 in December, including 1 home game.
They were supposed to play Kentucky in Las Vegas on Dec. 18 and UT Martin on Dec. 21 at home, but they were eventually called off. The team was also without its head coach more recently on Jan. 9 against Northwestern. Chris Holtmann tested positive for Covid-19, and was forced to watch the game from isolation.
The OSU basketball account on Twitter made a post about the schedule change on Monday.
UPDATE: We’ve added a game to the schedule and will play IUPUI on Tues, Jan. 18. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on BTN.
The game will be included for season ticket holders and more information will sent by the ticket office via email. https://t.co/3oQBg9uYnw

That’s just one of the canceled games accounted for. The Buckeyes apparently tried to reschedule another makeup game, but there just wasn’t a good time to do so according to Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors.
Holtmann says the Buckeyes looked at adding a second home game to the schedule, but that there doesn’t seem to be an optimal time to do so.
