Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann discusses watching Buckeyes game from isolation

Ohio State basketball is doing pretty well this season. The Buckeyes are off to a 10-3 start and 4-1 in the B1G. They are No. 16 in the AP-Top 25 poll and 4th in the B1G standings.

Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann has recently tested positive for COVID-19 and watched the Sunday game against Northwestern from his basement.

Here is what Holtmann had to say about watching the game in isolation:

Chris Holtmann says he is feeling fine and both he and Ryan Pedon expect to be back for Thursday’s game at Wisconsin.

Holtmann says “I was an absolute mess” watching Sunday’s Ohio State game from home. Holtmann says he told his wife he couldn’t watch it with her because he didn’t want to hear any sound during it.

Chris Holtmann said he was an “absolute mess” watching the game at home last night. Said he told his wife “I love you, but we are not watching the game together” – said he needed to be in a secluded space where he could pace around.

 The Buckeyes ended up winning the game against Northwestern 95-87. E.J. Liddell had a career night against the Wildcats as he finished the game with 34 points going 12-0f-20 from the floor and 5-0f-7 from 3. You can read more about Liddell’s career night here.

Holtmann expects to be back for the battle against No. 13 Wisconsin in the Kohl Center on Thursday, Jan. 13.
