Plenty of Ohio sports fans will be pulling for Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. Burrow, who transferred from Ohio State to LSU ahead of the 2018 season, said he still considers himself a Buckeye.

“Yeah, I’m definitely still a Buckeye,” Burrow told reporters Thursday during a Zoom press conference, per 247Sports.”I graduated from there. I still have relationships to this day that I wouldn’t have without being there. I’m still in contact with coach (Mickey Marotti), coach (Ryan) Day and Corey (Dennis). All those guys. I’m still a Buckeye.”

Burrow arrived at Ohio State in 2015, redshirting his first season on campus. Over the next 2 seasons, he played in 10 games, completing 29-of-39 passes for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns. With Dwayne Haskins set to start the 2018 season, Burrow transferred to LSU after graduating from OSU. Buckeyes fans continued to support Burrow after he left Columbus. One would expect many Ohio State fans to pull for Burrow and the Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams

Burrow led LSU to a 10-3 record and Fiesta Bowl in 2018. In 2019, Burrow won the Heisman Trophy, guiding the Tigers to a 15-0 season and College Football Playoff National Championship win over Clemson.
