A Nebraska center has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal after his second season in Lincoln.

Per Verbal Commits, backup center Eduardo Andre has decided to explore his options outside of Nebraska. He played in 30 of the Huskers’ 32 contests during the 2021-22 campaign. He averaged 3.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Andre averaged more than 11 minutes per game when he was on the floor. The 6-foot-11 center will have three seasons of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Andre was a 3-star recruit and joined the Huskers during the 2020-21 season. Last year, he played around 9 minutes per game and averaged 2.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

Nebraska closed this year with a 10-22 record.

Andre could still choose to return to Nebraska while exploring his options outside of Lincoln.

The news on Andre’s transfer portal entry comes the same week the freshman sensation Bryce McGowens declared for the 2022 NBA Draft.
