Tyler Linderbaum came off the board with the No. 25 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Now, he’s one of the last players selected in the first round still waiting on his rookie contract.
On Friday, the Los Angeles Chargers signed offensive lineman Zion Johnson – the No. 17 pick in the draft – to his rookie deal. That means Linderbaum, OT Charles Cross (No. 9 overall, Seattle Seahawks), S Kyle Hamilton (No. 14, Baltimore Ravens), QB Kenny Pickett (No. 20, Pittsburgh Steelers) and G Cole Strange (No. 29, New England Patriots) are the remaining first-round picks still to be signed.

It is worth noting that Linderbaum and Hamilton – both of Baltimore’s first-round picks – are on the list as unsigned rookies. This could mean the Ravens are still working on things behind the scenes in setting up deals for both players.
For now, not having a contract in place should not be a hindrance to Linderbaum. He is active in OTAs and still has plenty of time to get his contract in place before training camp, but it will likely have to wait until after Memorial Day at this point.
The projected value for Linderbaum’s contract at pick No. 25 is just over $13 million with a $6.8 million signing bonus.
