Hunter Dickinson reacts to NBA Draft departures of Caleb Houstan, Moussa Diabate

Michigan basketball is going to need some new faces to contribute in the 2022-23 season after the news that came down Wednesday.

To start the day, it was revealed that freshman Moussa Diabate was keeping his name in the 2022 NBA Draft. That announcement was followed by one from Caleb Houstan who is also keeping his name in the draft and will be off to the NBA.

That duo combined for 60 starts last season with Houstan starting all 34 for the Wolverines. Diabate and Houstan also combined to average more than 19 points per game.

With that turnover in production, CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein put out a quick prediction to the B1G for the 2022-23 season. Instead of the Wolverines, Rothstein now believes the conference “goes through Bloomington.”

It will be interesting to see what Dickinson can do for a junior season after taking steps forward last season. Though Diabate and Houstan are off to the NBA the Wolverines will have some fresh replacements via the No. 8 recruiting class for the 2022 cycle.
