Jim Harbaugh explained his decision to play Donovan Edwards against Michigan State after an incident that took place on social media. Edwards retweeted a tweet with an antisemitic message in it.
Harbaugh stated that Edwards made a mistake and vouched for the kind of person he is. He said that he had a discussion with Edwards about the ordeal.
“It was a mistake, an inadvertent tweet,” said Harbaugh. “He apologized for making that retweet. Talked to Donovan, I know the kind of person Donovan is. Donovan clearly explained what his position is, and that was sufficient.”

The Michigan RB explained that his retweet was simply a mistake. Edwards stated that is was a glitch on that he would never put out any kind of racism or hate speech on social media and that he is against racism.
Edwards finished the game with 42 yards rushing on 10 carries. He also caught 3 passes for 38 yards receiving.
