Barkley moves up Heisman odds after Week 3

Las Vegas Westgate Superbook released Heisman odds following Week Three in college football and while Penn State’s Saquon Barkley remains the Big 10’s best chance to take home the trophy, he doesn’t appear to have picked up much ground, according to Vegas.
Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma): 5/2
Mason Rudolph (Oklahoma State): 3/1
Sam Darnold (USC): 9/2
Lamar Jackson (Louisville): 5/1
Saquon Barkley (Penn State): 12/1
The Big 10 hasn’t had a Heisman winner since Ohio State’s Troy Smith in 2006 and so far in 2017 Barkley has just 38 rushing attempts in three games, but with an average of 8.1 yards per attempt, he’s sure to be in the race for the rest of the season.
Despite a 47-21 loss to Clemson last night Louisville’s Jackson appears to still hold a slight lead over Barkley, according to Vegas.
Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett started the season with the best Heisman odds in the Big 10 at 10/1, but after a poor start, he’s slid to 30/1 in just three games. RB J.K. Dobbins now holds the best odds in Columbus at 25/1.
On the season, Barkley has 307 rushing yards and 241 receiving yards with five touchdowns. He started the season with 20/1 Heisman odds.
