Kirk Herbstreit has not only been a commentator of college football in real life, but in the virtual world as well. Herbstreit spoke with WXYZ Detroit’s Brad Galli about potentially coming back for the next NCAA football video game.
Herbstreit was in the last edition of the franchise “NCAA Football 14” alongside longtime commentator Brad Nessler. EA Sports announced on Tuesday that the series’ first game since 2013 will be getting pushed back to the summer of 2024.
Herbstreit is hopeful that he will be included in the next version.
“Fingers crossed I’ll be involved in it,” said Herbstreit. “It would be a thrill to be a part of it coming back.”

Maybe EA Sports wants to push the date back for the game to make sure everything gets done the right way. Adding Herbstreit and Nessler back to the game would definitely go a long way towards that for fans of the franchise.
