Barthel has bounced around during his time as a coach. He has stops along the way at Temple, Penn State, Albany, Howard and William & Mary while serving in a variety of roles, including as recruiting coordinator and RBs coach.
From 2020-21, Barthel was a part of the Carolina Panthers staff.
We are still waiting to find out official announcements from Nebraska on additions to Rhule’s coaching staff. South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer indicated that Marcus Satterfield is leaving the Gamecocks to serve as Nebraska’s OC while Terrance Knighton indicated he will serve as DL coach on social media.
