Michigan is gearing up for the College Football Playoff, but the Wolverines are also using this time to reload for 2023.
On Sunday, Jim Harbaugh’s program continued a hot stretch via the transfer portal. That run on the portal included a commitment from Coastal Carolina pass-rusher Josaiah Stewart, one of the top Edge prospects available in the portal.
Later Sunday evening, the Wolverines added a third offensive lineman via the portal and a second offensive line piece out of Stanford. This time, it comes from Drake Nugent.

Nugent joins Michigan as a four-year veteran and a two-year starter at center for the Cardinal. Starting center for the Wolverines this season, Olusegun Oluwatimi, transferred in from Virginia and will exhaust his collegiate eligibility at the end of the Playoff.
Myles Hinton, a fellow offensive lineman out of Stanford, has already committed to Michigan via the portal. Nugent’s announcement brings Michigan’s transfer pledges to five players with three on the offensive line and two at linebacker.
