One Nebraska WR and a member of the 2022 recruiting class has announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal.
The player is Victor Jones Jr., a former 3-star recruit out of Orlando, Florida in the 2022 cycle. The 6-foot-2 and 184-pound receiver announced Tuesday he is in the portal with 4 years of eligibility remaining.
“The past year at UNL has been great but it life goes on,” wrote Jones. “First of all I’d like to thank God for me even having the opportunity but I would also like to thank Coach Rhule, Coach Satt and Coach McGuire for giving me the opportunity to play for this team and compete but with that being said I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility.”

Jones was unable to crack the depth chart as a true freshman. Additionally, Matt Rhule and his staff added WRs Josh Fleeks and Billy Kemp via the transfer portal along with a group of key returners for the program.
Also on Tuesday, QB Richard Torres announced his entry into the transfer portal. He was a fellow member of the 2022 recruiting class for Nebraska.
