Caleb Love, a former North Carolina guard who announced a commitment to Michigan about a month ago, has reportedly updated his plans for next season.
Eric Bossi of 247Sports reported that Love has decommitted from Michigan.
Love, who is originally from St. Louis, entered the portal earlier this offseason after a disappointing junior campaign with the Tar Heels. He reportedly considered Missouri, but decided on Michigan in an announcement he made on social media. “Go rewrite your story kid,” he wrote.

Love played 3 seasons with the Tar Heels, but may be most remembered from the 2021-22 season when he and the Tar Heels made the National Championship Game. His postseason included a clutch 3-pointer to defeat Duke in the Final Four.
Last season saw a drop off as Love shot under 40% from the floor and under 30% from 3-point range. Carolina failed to make the NCAA Tournament despite being the preseason No. 1 team in the AP Poll.
