Michigan’s Trevor Keegan is the latest veteran to confirm he will be departing the program for the NFL Draft following the national championship.
On Sunday, the Wolverines learned that star quarterback JJ McCarthy will leave the program early to enter the draft. A slew of other veterans comprised of Blake Corum, Junior Colson and Michael Barrett have either announced plans to head to the NFL Draft or bid farewell to the program with eligibility expiring

He was a key piece of back-to-back Joe Moore Award units in 2021 and 2022 and was a second-team All-B1G performer in the 2023 season.
“All of my dreams and goals have been attained during my time at Michigan,” wrote Keegan. “As a team captain, it was an honor to begin my college career and finish my college career at Michigan. Those who stay…
“While my Michigan legacy is complete, it is time I move on to my next dream. With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Always expected to be an offseason turnover, Michigan’s roster will see a lot of new faces heading into 2024 with a large core of veterans off to the NFL Draft. The program also waits to see if head coach Jim Harbaugh will sign a long-term extension with the Wolverines or land a job to return to the NFL this cycle.
