Junior Colson reveals 2024 plans following Michigan's championship run
Junior Colson became the 2nd Michigan player on Thursday to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft, following in Zak Zinter’s footsteps.
Colson was a mainstay at linebacker for the Wolverines from 2021-2023. He started every year that he was with Michigan. He played in 41 games with 34 starts over the last 3 seasons in Ann Arbor. This past season, Colson finished as a finalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
Here’s what Colson said in his goodbye to Michigan fans:
“First and foremost, I give all the glory to God and thanks to the Lord for the blessings he has bestowed upon me,” wrote Colson on social media. “I am eternally grateful, as He has given a young kid from Mirebalis, Haiti the opportunity to live out his dreams.
“…I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Coach Harbaugh and our amazing coaching staff. Your investment in my growth, both as a football player and as a family man, has been invaluable. Your guidance has not only shaped my athletic abilities but has also played a pivotal role in transforming a young boy into a responsible man.
“… I am honored and humbled to announce that I will officially be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”
