Jim Harbaugh is set to meet with the Atlanta Falcons for a 2nd time next week, according to a report.

That’s per the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, who notes that the Falcons are also continuing to speak with former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick about their vacant head coaching position.

Harbaugh has been active during the NFL coaching carousel over the past week or so. In addition to interviewing with the Falcons, he’s also met with the Los Angeles Chargers about their head coaching position.

The Falcons and Chargers are widely-regarded as two of the top head-coaching vacancies in the NFL this offseason. The Chargers have a franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert while the Falcons boast offensive talent such as Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Atlanta is also in position to make a big move for a quarterback this offseason if it wants to — either via trade or in the 2024 NFL Draft.

A return to Michigan in 2024 is also still on the table for Harbaugh. This week, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said he’s working on an extension for Harbaugh following the Wolverines’ national championship victory.

“To answer the question I heard about 500 times on the parade route, I am working on getting this man a new contract, I promise you,” Manuel said.

Harbaugh last coached in the NFL in 2014. As head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, Harbaugh led the franchise to a Super Bowl appearance in 2013. The 49ers had a record of 44-19 in 4 seasons with Harbaugh at the helm.
