The news keeps getting better for Scott Frost’s squad.

Early Wednesday morning it was revealed that 2018 signee Maurice Washington had been admitted at Nebraska. This afternoon, even bigger news arrives as Nebraska officials have told reporters that Washington is a full qualifier and eligible to play in the 2018 season.

Frost could err on the side of caution with Washington and redshirt him as the 4-star running back is behind the rest of his teammates in terms of offseason conditioning and learning the playbook. But if Frost feels Washington can contribute this fall, no one would blame him for giving the late-arriving freshman a chance to show what he can do. Washington was rated the No. 10 running back, No. 26 Texas product and No. 207 overall recruit nationally by the 247Sports Composite.

As seen in his highlights, below, Washington has the physical gifts to do special things in his Cornhusker career.
