Miami head coach Mark Richt makes QB change ahead of Pinstripe Bowl

Malik Rosier will be the starting quarterback for Miami in the Pinstripe Bowl matchup against Wisconsin on Thursday, head coach Mark Richt told the media.
Richt told reporters on Wednesday that previous starter N’Kosi Perry will not be under center for the Hurricanes after a sexually-explicit video surfaced recently. Richt said that Perry wasn’t suspended but that the video wasn’t a “good look.”
Though he won’t get the start, Perry will still be available to play in the game.

Rosier played in seven games for the Hurricanes this season, throwing for 1,006 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. He completed just 53.5 percent of his passes.
This will be the second time in two years Wisconsin has seen Rosier under enter. Last year, the Badgers took on Miami in the Orange Bowl, posting a 34-24 victory over the Hurricanes. Rosier finished the game with 203 yards and a touchdown while completing 11-of-26 passes.
He threw three interceptions in the game.
Miami didn’t have much success through the air this year, averaging just 177.3 yards per game. That average ranked 12th in the ACC and 109th nationally. The late change under center doesn’t help matters, either.
Both Miami and Wisconsin enter the Pinstripe Bowl with 7-5 records.
