Illinois teammates show support for Bobby Roundtree following spine injury
Scary news broke on Monday morning, as it was reported that Illinois defensive lineman Bobby Roundtree suffered a serious spinal injury in a swimming incident that occurred on Saturday.
Illini Inquirer reported that Roundtree was in Tampa, Florida on Saturday and suffered a spinal injury that was considered “very serious.” He had surgery on Sunday, but an update on his status is unknown.
Lovie Smith also issued a statement on Roundtree’s character and the situation on Monday.
