In the Big Ten, it’s about more than just football.
Of course, winning games on the gridiron is great. But for those student-athletes that don’t end up making millions playing professionally, what do they have to fall back on?
Academics.
At Iowa, Kirk Ferentz is starting a cool new tradition that helps honors those that are taking academics seriously:
This is cool: @HawkeyeFootball players who have graduated — there's 10 of them — will have a decal on their helmet to recognize it.

This is pretty awesome. Ten players that have already graduated from Iowa — but are still on the football team — will have helmet decals representing their academic excellence.
