Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide have had what many would call a dynasty running for quite a while now.
Whatever Alabama is doing is working. Don’t tell Clemson that. But, for everybody else, it’s working.
One of the jabs that people will take at the Tide, though, is about their non-conference schedule. Alabama has played some big boys in the past and is set to play Wisconsin in the future.

But, there have been a lot of cupcakes. On Saturday, for example, Alabama crushed New Mexico State 62-10.

This is pretty hilarious, and maybe Saban is right. Maybe he does legitimately want to play 12 quality football teams every single season. Maybe nobody better than New Mexico State will play them.
Or maybe it has to do with home-and-home details and other aspects of agreeing to play.
But hey, what do we know?
