Reggie Bush on Michigan’s lack of toughness: You at least need to show up and hit somebody in the mouth

As Michigan continues to look for answers after Saturday’s blowout loss to Wisconsin, Reggie Bush joined the growing list of people critical of Michigan’s demeanor under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
It comes as no surprise, considering everything that went down in Madison over the weekend. After all, it’s one thing to lose a game against a good opponent. It’s another thing entirely to get blown out of the stadium with a 35-0 deficit to start the game.
When discussing the program under Harbaugh Tuesday, Bush blamed the coach for a lack of toughness displayed by the Wolverines. According to Bush, toughness has been the staple of Harbaugh’s teams going back to his time with Stanford and his stint in the NFL.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything tough about Saturday’s loss to Wisconsin. Bush made his comments during a segment on Speak For Yourself:
“When you think about the Harbaugh brothers, their staple has been toughness,” said Bush. “When (Jim) Harbaugh was at Stanford, they were tough. When he was with the 49ers, I hated playing that team…when your staple throughout your career has been toughness, him and his brother, and then you put this on film – when you have two weeks to prepare? At the end of the day, you can lose the game, but you at least need to show up and hit someone in the mouth, and that’s the one thing we did not see. They got steamrolled by Wisconsin.
“I don’t see enough guys on that sideline mad.”
