Always a Buckeye: Two years after leaving Ohio State, Joe Burrow still doesn’t refer to Michigan by name

Joe Burrow never starred at Ohio State. He played occasionally.
But he was never the set starting quarterback for the Buckeyes. For that reason — among others — he decided to transfer to LSU. He took over for the Tigers a year ago and in 2019, has truly broken out.
He’s a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate for the undefeated No. 1-ranked Tigers.

What’s ahead of Burrow may be his biggest test yet: No. 2 Alabama.
Ahead of the matchup between the two unbeatens, Burrow was asked which rivalry is bigger — LSU-Alabama or Ohio State-Michigan?

He somewhat evaded the question but will be able to certainly answer it a couple years from now once he’s able to take it all in and be able to reflect. But, did you hear what he called Michigan?
He didn’t actually say the word, “Michigan.” Burrow still calls it “That Team Up North,” which refers to TTUN, which is what Buckeyes typically call the Wolverines.
Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.
