Recruiting can mean quite a lot. Imagine Wisconsin without Jonathan Taylor. Would the Badgers still be really good?

Sure. But would they be the same team? Probably not. And, the recruits themselves don’t have to be incredible 5-star players, either. Again, just look at Taylor.

At Michigan, the Wolverines tend to get some of the better players across the country to sign to play in Ann Arbor each year. The 2020 recruiting cycle is no different, as the Wolverines currently own the No. 13-ranked class nationally and are No. 2 in the Big Ten.

The entire 2020 class can be seen here.

Within that 2020 class, three future Wolverines earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors last week:

  • 4-star WR A.J. Henning — Michigan’s No. 1-ranked recruit
  • 4-star RB Blake Corum — Michigan’s No. 3-ranked recruit
  • 4-star LB Kalel Mullings — Michigan’s No. 4-ranked recruit

Henning earned honors in the state of Illinois, while Corum and Mullings took home the honors from the states of Maryland and Massachusetts, respectively.

Michigan currently has 12 different 4-star recruits in the Class of 2020 with verbal commitments.
