Chase Young takes home prestigious award as nation’s most outstanding defensive player

Chase Young is adding to his collection of awards in the postseason.
Young truly was a dominant force all season long for the Buckeyes. Despite missing two games due to a suspension, Young racked up 44 tackles, 21 for loss, and 16.5 sacks with seven forced fumbles. He had at least half a sack in nine of his 11 games played and had seven sacks with four forced fumbles in a two-game stretch vs Wisconsin and Penn State.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, Young was awarded the B1G Defensive Player of the Year and B1G Defensive Lineman of the year. He added to that award collection Monday night by taking home the Bronco Nagurski Trophy, annually given to the most outstanding defensive player in the country.
