A second game in the B1G-ACC Challenge this week has been postponed.

On Monday afternoon, Michigan announced that its game against NC State has been postponed due to concerns involving COVID-19 with the Wolf Pack basketball program. Earlier in the day, the Wisconsin-Louisville game had been called off for similar issues.

“Far too often have I had to say we are all living in unprecedented times,” said Michigan head coach Juwan Howard. “Our main concern is the health and safety of Coach Keatts, his players as well as all of those within the NC State program. It is unfortunate we have to postpone this ACC-B1G Challenge matchup. it would have been fun. However, we must do what is right, and this is the right thing to do for everyone.”

The game between Michigan and NC State had been scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 9. The Wolverines are 4-0 on the season and the Wolf Pack are 3-0.

Whether or not the two teams can work out a make-up date for the game is not known. However, because the school used the term “postponed” it’s likely that both will work together to play the contest at a future date.

The B1G-ACC Challenge is taking place on Tuesday, Dec. 8 and Wednesday, Dec. 9 this season. You can view the full lineup here.
