Monday morning the B1G/ACC Challenge matchup between the No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers and No. 25 Louisville Cardinals was initially put on hold, and then officially postponed.

On Thursday of last week, Louisville indefinitely paused all team activities after a positive COVID-19 test within the program.

At the time of the announcement, the teams were working on a potential alternate date, and on Monday afternoon, Badgers coach Greg Gard said that they “hope” to play the game on Sunday, Dec. 13.

The Badgers were prepared for the possibility, and as a backup game they will host Rhode Island for a home contest at the Kohl Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3:30PM CT on the Big Ten Network.

The Rams are 3-2, and are rated as the No. 72 team on KenPom and is currently on a three-game winning streak.

After the Badgers 67-65 loss at Marquette last Friday night, they dropped nine spots in the AP poll. The Golden Eagles won the game on a putback tip-in at the buzzer by freshman forward Justin Lewis.
