Jim Harbaugh shook his defensive staff up in a big way following 2020, and some of his moves are already paying off.
After an especially rough year on the field, Harbaugh made the move to part ways with defensive coordinator Don Brown. While the decision may have been a tough one, the early signs on some of Harbaugh’s newest assistants are very high.
Along with adding Mike Macdonald from the Baltimore Ravens to serve as the defensive coordinator, Harbaugh hired Maurice Linguist away from the Dallas Cowboys to coach DBs and serve as the co-DC. That paid off in a big way recruiting wise on Friday.
Two four-star recruits on the defensive side of the ball announced their commitment to the Wolverines. Both players are expected to play in the secondary as members of the 2022 recruiting class and hail out of Tennessee.
Following those commitments, Linguist put out a message to “Wolverine Nation,” encouraging fans that this is just the beginning. Check it out:

Hopefully this is just the beginning because the Wolverines will still need to put the results into action on the field.
