2021 NFL Draft: CBS includes 12 B1G players in Day 2 mock draft

As teams hope that they landed a future All-Pro player in the first round, a wealth of talent remains when the NFL Draft resumes Friday evening.

On Thursday, it was Justin Fields headlining seven B1G selections in the first round. Chicago traded up to No. 11 overall to nab Fields, making the Buckeye the fourth QB off the board behind Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, and Trey Lance. Micah Parsons was not far behind Fields, heading to the Dallas Cowboys with the No. 12 overall selection.

Becoming a first-round pick is definitely a special experience. However, NFL teams still expect to find starting talent as the draft enters the weekend.

As teams reset and prepare for Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, CBS Sports released a mock draft for the evening. In total, the mock featured 12 B1G players across the two rounds with a run on Ohio State players in the third round.

Here is a look at those players predicted to be selected:

Round 2

  • No. 13 (45 overall) Jacksonville Jaguars: OL Wyatt Davis, Ohio State
  • No. 15 (47) LA Chargers: WR Rondale Moore, Purdue
  • No. 25 (57) LA Rams: OL Kendrick Green, Illinois
  • No. 26 (58) Kansas City Chiefs: DL Daviyon Nixon, Iowa
  • No. 29 (61) Buffalo Bills: CB Benjamin St-Juste, Minnesota
  • No. 31 (63) Chiefs: TE Pat Freiermuth, Penn State
  • No. 32 (64) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: OL Jalen Mayfield, Michigan

Round 3

  • No. 9 (73) Carolina Panthers: LB Pete Werner, Ohio State
  • No. 15 (79) Las Vegas Raiders: LB Baron Browning, Ohio State
  • No. 19 (83) Chicago Bears: WR Nico Collins, Michigan
  • No. 25 (89) Cleveland Browns: DL Tommy Togiai, Ohio State
  • No. 32 (96) New England Patriots: OL Josh Myers, Ohio State
