Here’s those grades and the full top five:

McNamara was excellent in his first start of 2021 after winning Michigan’s quarterback competition this offseason. He completed 9-of-11 passes for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The volume is low, but McNamara executed Michigan’s game plan. The Wolverines were able to run the ball effectively, and McNamara eventually gave way to true freshman 5-star JJ McCarthy. Michigan won the game 47-14.

As for Martinez, it was a nice bounce-back start for him vs. Fordham. He completed 17-of-23 passes for 253 yards and 1 touchdown. He also rushed for 33 yards and 2 more scores on the ground as Nebraska blew out Fordham 52-7.

Former Penn State quarterback Will Levis also made the top three after his impressive debut with Kentucky.
