Cincinnati is up for the task of matching up with No. 9 Georgia in the Peach Bowl.

The Bearcats have opened up a 21-10 lead over UGA after a quick scoring drive to start the third quarter.

Running back Jerome Ford ran for 79 yards on the second play of the third quarter, putting Cincy firmly in the driver’s seat. Here’s that play:

Georgia responded by moving the ball into Cincinnati territory, but the drive ended with a fumble by quarterback JT Daniels.

Cincy quarterback Desmond Ridder has been great so far in this game. He’s completed 16-of-24 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Whyle and Alec Pierce are responsible for the Bearcats’ other touchdowns.

It’s been a rough bowl season for the SEC. Florida was blown out by Oklahoma in the league’s other NY6 bowl earlier this week. Mississippi State managed to defeat Tulsa, but disgraced that win by getting involved in a postgame brawl.

Midway through the third quarter, Cincinnati still leads Georgia 21-10.
