Another incredible week of college basketball is in the books, and the B1G named its Players of the Week on Monday.

No. 3 Purdue survived NC State in overtime to avoid back-to-back losses after the buzzer-beater loss to Rutgers. Ohio State moved up to No. 15 in the new AP poll, while Michigan State moved up to No. 12. All 3 got big performances during the week from standout individuals.

Ohio State forward E.J. Liddell earned co-Player of the Week following a 28-point performance in the team’s win over No. 22 Wisconsin. Liddell has put up double digits in every game for the Buckeyes so far this season and has scored 20 or more points 5 times. He is among the league leaders in points per game at 20.6 and is third in the country in free throws attempted, with 75.

Purdue forward Trevion Williams also earned co-Player of the Week. Williams had a season-high 22 points against NC State, but that wasn’t all that was incredible about his performance. He also did something that hadn’t been done since the 2009-2010 season. Williams is the first player in over a decade to put up least 22 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals in a game, making the OT win even more special.

Last but not least was Michigan State’s Max Christie as the B1G Freshman of the Week. The Spartans’ guard played a key role in getting 2 conference wins over Minnesota and Penn State. Christie had under 10 points in both games, but was a perfect 2-2 from the free-throw line. This is the second straight week Christie has been named the league’s Freshman of the Week.
