Big Ten basketball is right around the corner with the 2022-23 basketball season on deck.

Last season, Illinois and Wisconsin shared the regular-season B1G title while Iowa claimed the B1G Tournament with a dominant run. Unfortunately, the conference continued its national title drought for another season.

Entering the new season, there will be lots of intrigue and question marks across the conference. All eyes will also be on Bloomington with Indiana looking for a jump in Year 2 of Mike Woodson’s tenure.

The full conference schedule once again includes 20 games for each team with B1G play starting on Dec. 2. Illinois at Maryland will start the conference slate with 12 B1G games scheduled between Dec. 2-11.

Following Dec. 11, there will be a break in conference action until Dec. 29.

Some of the early highlights from the schedule include Michigan’s return trip to Wisconsin set on Valentine’s Day. That is certainly an interesting scheduling note after Juwan Howard’s altercation in 2022.

Penn State will also host a conference contest at The Palestra in Philadelphia. That match will be against Purdue.
