Big Ten volleyball turns to conference action for the first time in 2022, and the first weekend of B1G play features 14 games beginning on Friday evening!

That Friday action will be dominated by a top-15 matchup between No. 11 Purdue and No. 8 Minnesota in West Lafayette. Minnesota is off to a 5-3 record with a tough nonconference schedule while Purdue has been on fire out of the gate with a 9-1 record.

Another ranked matchup comes around on Saturday when No. 3 Nebraska hosts No. 7 Ohio State. That top-10 battle should be an elite one between two sides looking to fight for the conference crown throughout 2022.

Wisconsin and Minnesota will conclude the weekend with a rivalry battle, this time around as top-10 foes. That Sunday matchup in primetime should be a great way to round out the first weekend of conference play.

Heading into the weekend, the B1G has 6 programs coming out of nonconference play with at least 9 victories. Penn State is the conference’s lone undefeated team entering the B1G schedule at 11-0 while Nebraska – the conference’s highest-ranked team on the latest AVCA Poll – checks in at 8-1.
