BTN's Dave Wannstedt unveils changes to B1G Power Rankings after crazy Week 8
Week 8 had plenty of action and awesome storylines, and Dave Wannstedt’s weekly power rankings were shaken up a bit as a result.
Coming out of a wild weekend, Wannstedt did have one spot unchanged on his rankings. The one consistent spot comes at the top with Ohio State still in the driver’s seat after a huge win over Northwestern:
“We’ve got some changes this week! No changes at the top…I’ve got (Ohio State) at No. 1 in the Big Ten,” said Wannstedt. “I’m not so sure they’re not the best team in the nation.”

In the second spot, Wannstedt had Penn State. He bumped the Nittany Lions up after a gritty win over Michigan combined with Wisconsin’s loss to Illinois:
“Penn State did a great job of overcoming and winning it at the end,” explained Wannstedt.
Wannstedt also gave some love to Minnesota, bumping the Gophers up to No. 4 in the conference behind an undefeated start under PJ Fleck:
“How bout Minnesota? Don’t underestimate them as far as winning the West,” Wannstedt pointed out.
